Dalton GREEK WARFARE

War was common in Gerece. Greeks lived in the city-states, and there were about 100,000 people in each city-state. All the city-states fought over their boundaries. Some city-states joined together to fight against other city-states. However, sometimes the Greeks invaded other countries and ended up taking over their land. The Greeks even fought for pay. Although there were many wars during Ancient Greece, we know so little about them. What we do know is that there were mainly four different wars that the Greeks fought. The four wars were: Trojan War, which is also called Persian Wars, Peloponnesian Wars, and Alexander the Great battles.
