This even included the ocean waves and the Olympic races. Greek temples were even built in every town for a god or goddess. Greeks used large and beautiful temples to pray and sacrifice animals. These animals were gifts to the Greek gods. Animals were also sacrificed at the Greek festivals, where there were plays, music, dancing, and a parade to the Greek temple where they made these sacrifices to the gods.
